TECHNICAL AND FIELD RELATED PROBLEMS OF TRADITIONAL AND ELECTRONIC ARCHIVING

The international conference Technical and Field Related Problems of Traditional and Electronic Archiving hosts professionals from the fields of archival science, records management and those active and working in these fields who wish to be up to date. The conference brings novelties in the field of theoretical and practical bases of archival science and records management, professional procedures, research, standards, guidelines, best practices, projects and programmes.
Last year's international conference was a real success, attracting the largest number of participants in the last ten years. The conference was attended by 294 participants from 14 countries, with 67 authors giving presentations and one practical workshop being held.
The large turnout confirms the quality of our work, which aims to elevate archival theory and practice to a higher level and raise awareness of the importance of archives in general.
The programme of the conference will discuss problems of traditional preservation and safekeeping of archives, implementing long-term preservation, digitization and archiving of electronic records. We would also like our participants to be acquainted with producers and service providers of archival and other equipment used for safer storage.
